About

Welcome to Don Olito. This is a personal blog with information, analysis and comments on current Latin American politics, mainly the Andean region including Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Please also find some recommended literature concerning the region and my recent publications. Articles on this blog are published in German, English and Spanish language.

I am currently a M.A. student of International Relations at Dresden University of Technology in Germany. My program of study includes International Politics and International Law as mayors and International (Political) Economy as minor subject. I hold a B.A. degree in German-Hispanic-Studies with focus on Political Science and International Relations from Regensburg University (Germany) and Complutense University of Madrid (Spain).

Previously, I worked as research assistant and intern with different political research institutions, organizations and foundations in Germany, Spain, Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru. My main interests include Latin American countries, Spain, as well as the Middle East & North Africa. On occasion, I collaborate with the German-language website Blickpunkt Lateinamerika as freelance.

Please follow me on twitter. You may also write me an email.
